Odd Host Arendal in Skagerak Arena Summer Friendly
Odd Ballklubb used Skagerak Arena to host a training match against Arendal Fotball on 18 July, keeping the squad sharp during a break in the 1. Division schedule. The friendly comes as the club prepare for a busy second half of the season.
A Summer Friendly to Bridge the Gap
With a mid-season break in the 1. Division fixture list, Odd Ballklubb welcomed Arendal Fotball to Skagerak Arena on 18 July for a pre-autumn training match. The friendly gave head coach and players a valuable opportunity to work on combinations and fitness ahead of the second half of the campaign.
The match was arranged specifically to keep the squad sharp during the period between competitive fixtures, with the next league game away at Strømmen on 26 July.
Keeping Match Sharpness at Home
Using Skagerak Arena for the friendly underlines the importance the club places on home preparation. The 13,500-capacity ground in the Falkum district of Skien provides a familiar and professional environment, allowing players to train and compete under match conditions without travelling.
Arendal Fotball, who compete in a lower division, provided the opposition for what was intended as a controlled run-out for Odd's first-team squad.
Looking Ahead
Odd return to competitive action with the away trip to Strømmen before heading back to Skagerak Arena on 2 August to host Åsane in the 1. Division. Sitting fifth in the table, the club will be eager to rediscover home form after the defeat to Haugesund earlier this month and give their supporters a positive result to cheer about on home turf.
