Skagerak Arena Opens Its Doors for Local Teams' Season Finales

2 min read

Odd have invited sports teams from all disciplines to hold their end-of-season celebrations at one of the club's remaining home matches. Under-18s get in free and adults pay half price, with discounted pizza on offer. The club is also wearing a special kit at October home games for World Mental Health Day.

A season-end offer for every sport

Odd have invited sports teams from across the region to hold their end-of-season gathering at one of the club's three remaining home matches at Skagerak Arena. The offer is open to all teams, regardless of sport.

The package is built around affordability. Anyone under 18 gets a free ticket, while adults pay half price. The club has also arranged a discount with Domino's Pizza, so groups can pick from a selection of pizzas and order them through the club. Only whole pizzas can be ordered.

To take part, a team leader must email the club with the required details no later than three days before the match they have chosen. With that notice period, Sunday's match against Strømmen is effectively out of reach, so the later home fixtures are the realistic options.

A special kit for a cause

The stadium will also carry a message beyond football this month. In every October home match, Odd are playing in a special kit to mark World Mental Health Day. The initiative is run in cooperation with Kirkens SOS.

The club marked the day with an item on its website this week. For supporters, it means the home fixtures at Skagerak Arena double as a visible show of support for an important cause.

Looking ahead off the pitch

The club also announced a members' meeting on Tuesday, 20 October, starting at 6 pm. It comes at a busy stage of the season, with Odd fifth in the Division on 45 points after 26 games and several home fixtures still to come.

On the pitch, Odd's most recent home match ended in a 2-1 win over Bryne last Sunday. The next test at the stadium is Strømmen on Sunday at 5 pm, followed by another home game on 28 October.

For local clubs, the offer is a low-cost way to bring players, parents and coaches together for an evening out. With free entry for children and young people and half-price tickets for adults, the club hopes to fill more seats at Skagerak Arena as the season draws to a close.
