ODD's 5–1 Demolition of Egersund Fuels Promotion Push
ODD Ballklubb delivered a dominant 5–1 home victory over Egersund at Skagerak Arena on September 20, leading 2–1 at the break before running away with the match. The result has given the squad a strong sense of momentum as they head into a decisive autumn run-in. Three home fixtures still remain at the Skien ground, with Bryne next up on October 11.
Five Goals and a Statement Performance
ODD Ballklubb produced one of their most commanding home displays of the 2026 season when they swept Egersund aside 5–1 at Skagerak Arena on September 20. The result — which saw ODD lead 2–1 at half-time before pulling clear in the second half — underlined the team's quality in front of their own supporters in Skien.
Head coach Per Frandsen was in buoyant mood in the aftermath. Speaking ahead of the team's away trip to Hødd on October 3, Frandsen said the squad were travelling to Høddvoll with a good feeling after the performance, and that he hoped the team could build on what they had shown in the Egersund match.
A Crucial Boost in the Promotion Race
The victory came at an important moment in the 1. Divisjon season. With the autumn run-in now underway, ODD sit in fifth place in the table — only one point behind Bryne in sixth — and the result against Egersund kept the club's promotion ambitions very much alive.
Three home fixtures remain on the Skagerak Arena calendar for the 2026 campaign: Bryne on October 11, Strømmen on October 18, and Sandnes Ulf on November 1. Stadium officials have urged supporters to plan ahead and secure seats early as the stakes continue to rise.
Free Entry for Under-18s as Club Eyes Full House
Skagerak Arena, which has a capacity of 11,767, has been a key factor in ODD's push throughout 2026, and the club is eager to see strong attendances as the decisive weeks approach. The free-entry policy for all supporters under 18 remains in place for the upcoming home fixtures — a measure designed to bring younger and newer fans through the gates in Skien.
Tickets for the remaining home games are available through ODD's official channels, with options ranging from standing sections to premium leather-seat hospitality packages in the Bakrommet area.
